Should I Stay or Should I Go?

It is one of the hardest questions you may ever ask yourself.

Is my marriage over – or is there still something worth saving?

And often, there isn’t a clear answer.

You may feel certain one day that you cannot carry on, and frightened the next that you are about to make the biggest mistake of your life.

There is so much tied up in the decision. Love, history, children, finances, family, identity, fear, hope – and the life you have spent years building together.

No wonder it can feel impossible to separate what you truly want from what you are frightened of losing.

You don’t have to have decided to divorce.

This is something I think is really important to say.

You don’t need to have decided to leave before speaking to a divorce coach.

In fact, coaching can be particularly valuable when you are still sitting in that uncomfortable space between staying and going.

My role isn’t to tell you what to do. And it certainly isn’t to encourage divorce.

It is to provide a confidential, non-judgmental space in which you can begin to untangle what may feel like an overwhelming mass of thoughts and emotions.

We can explore what is really happening for you, what matters most, what is keeping you stuck, and what you may need in order to move forward.

Sometimes that process leads towards separation.

Sometimes it doesn’t.

The important thing is that the decision remains yours.

Sometimes clarity begins by giving yourself the space to pause, reflect and notice what really matters to you.

You don’t need to have all the answers today. Sometimes the first step is simply creating space to think.

Clarity before decisions

When we are overwhelmed, it is very easy to believe we have to work out our entire future at once.

We don’t.

Sometimes the first step is simply acknowledging:

I don’t know what I want yet – but I know I don’t want to stay stuck here.

That is enough to begin.

If you are quietly asking yourself, “Should I stay or should I go?”, you don’t have to work through the answer alone.

A complimentary discovery call is simply a conversation about where you are now, what you are struggling with, and whether coaching might be the right support for you.

You don’t need to have the answer before you reach out.
